Mountain Dew® and Doritos® "Every 2 Minutes" Live Auction Event Brings the Xbox One to Fans First at PAX Prime 2013

PURCHASE, N.Y. and PLANO, Texas, Sept. 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Mountain Dew® and Doritos® teamed up at PAX Prime 2013 in Seattle, Wash. to give gamers the chance to secure the hotly-anticipated Xbox One entertainment system.

As part of their Xbox One "Every 2 Minutes" promotion, Mountain Dew and the Doritos brand hosted a Live Auction event on Sunday, September 1 for PAX attendees. With thousands of PAX attendees participating, the country's most avid gaming community scanned more than 100 QR codes throughout the Washington Convention Center and local landmarks, including Pike Place Market and the Space Needle. Codes were scanned more than 155,000 times during PAX, enabling participants to amass points to bid on and win an Xbox One entertainment system during the Live Auction.  Thirty winners scored an Xbox One, and six will receive the entertainment system before launch night in November.

Sunday's live auction in Seattle was only the beginning.  This Fall, the Mountain Dew and Doritos brands will give fans a chance to bid on Xbox One entertainment systems through nightly auctions beginning on November 5, every two minutes between 9 p.m. and 2 a.m. ET as part of the "Every 2 Minutes" online auction experience.
